The current homeowner wanted to completely remodel their small Master Bathroom, while ensuring the design would compliment the historic Prairie School style home.  To create a light and open feel, Carrera marble was used throughout the bathroom. The flooring is accented with a delicate dark border.  And the varied marble shapes incorporated into the layout create a custom yet coherent design.  The look is enhanced with the classic washbasins, fixtures, framed medicine cabinets and period appropriate lighting.

The Villa Orizaba is a historically designated home known to have “artifacts from its namesake: the S. S. Orizaba, a near-legendary 1850s-era coastal steamer which has been affectionately referred to as ‘the Mayflower of San Diego.’ Originally a Queen Anne style house, it was added to and remodeled from 1888-1918 each time serving as a ‘model home’ in the hopes of stimulating real estate development in the surrounding area by its owners: Sarah J. Miller/Cox and Harry L. Miller, the daughter and grandson, respectively, of the Captain of the S. S. Orizaba, Henry J.
